Actor and filmmaker Satish Kaushik died at the age of 66 on Wednesday in Delhi. The news of his death left the Hindi film industry in shock with many condoling his shocking demise. Satish was in Delhi when he suffered a heart attack while travelling in a car. 

An alumnus of the National School of Drama and the Film and Television Institute of India, Kaushik was best known for his roles in films such as Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron, Mr India, Deewana Mastana, and Udta Punjab.

Known for his comic timing, Kaushik was also a director. His most popular films as a filmmaker are Salman Khan starrer Tere Naam and Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai, starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Tusshar Kapoor.

He is survived by his wife Shashi and daughter 11-year-old Vanshika Kaushik. His body has been taken to Deendayal Hospital for postmortem and is expected to be handed over to his family at around 3 pm, following which his last rites will be conducted. The news of Kaushik's death was confirmed by his friend and National Award-winning actor Anupam Kher in a tweet.

Satish Kaushik's last tweet was from Holi celebration where he posed with his friends and fellow actors in Juhu. He was seen posing with Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal in one pictures.

Satish Kaushik was born on April 13, 1965, in Haryana. He was an actor, comedian, screenwriter, director and producer. Before finding his break in Bollywood, Satish Kaushik worker in threatre.
