Carrie Underwood Posts a Picture of Herself after the Fall in November

Carrie Underwood, the country singer has posted a picture of herself as she is back in business. After her fall in November last year, this is the first time she has posted a picture of her profile. Carrie had injured her wrists after falling from the steps of her house. She had also injured her face and received 40 stitches on her face. Since then she has not been much active on the social media.

In the caption-less picture, Underwood is seen gazing upwards, wearing a hoodie and she is seen sitting at a recording studio. Her hair is tied into a bun and her face clearly seen without a trace of a scar.

She has appeared in a music video for her song “The Champion”. However, it is not clear whether the video was recorded before or after her scary fall.

In her new message in January, Carrie had written she may not look the same when they see her again. She also mentioned, “There is also another part of the story that I haven’t been ready to talk about since I have still been living it and there has been much uncertainty as to how things will end up,” she wrote in a post on her fan club’s site. “In addition to breaking my wrist, I somehow managed to injure my face as well. I’ll spare you the gruesome details, but when I came out of surgery the night of my fall, the doctor told [Underwood’s husband] Mike that he had put between 40 and 50 stitches in.

“Now, here we are 7 weeks later and, even though I’ve had the best people helping me, I’m still healing and not quite looking the same. I honestly don’t know how things are going to end up but I do know this: I am grateful. I am grateful that it wasn’t much, much worse.”

It seems Carrie Underwood is still feeling shy to show her face. Her pictures only shows her profile. Since her November freak accident she has kept pictures of herself to a bare minimum. Getting injured and having the fear of one’s appearance changing is a great challenge for an entertainer. Being in a profession where looks matter and having to go through a fall or injury is quite traumatic.

Earlier on April 4, 2018 after the Nashville Predators for whom her husband plays, lost a match, the singer vented her anger on Twitter, while her husband responded saying “If there’s one thing I’ve learned it’s you’re always right,” he wrote, adding a crying-laughing emoji.

Carrie Underwood rose to fame after winning the American Idol contest in 2005. Her debut album ‘Some Hearts’ was released in the same year. It became the best-selling debut album as well as the best-selling country album. The album helped her win three Grammy Awards. Her singles 'Jesus', 'take the wheels’ and ‘Before He Cheats’ also were big hits.

Her second album,'Carnival Ride' was released in 2007, for which she received two Grammy Awards. Her fourth album, 'Blown Away' also earned her a Grammy Award. She has sold more than 65 million records and became one of the most successful singers.

We hope and pray the scars of the fall, fade away from her face and her heart, and we see her back in full form spinning out new songs and winning a few more Grammys.
