Joker Origin Movie Might Get Joaquin Phoenix: Know His Interesting Answers

All the speculations regarding the Joker origin movie would get Joaquin Phoenix or not has now received an “interesting” twist in the tale. Recently, in an interview the actor answers the Joker questions with a ‘mischievous grin on his face’.

Joker origin movie is still in its pre-production phase that has been written by 'The Hangover' franchise director, Todd Phillips. Earlier when Phoenix was asked about his portrayal of Joker, he ignored the question saying he’s not at all aware of the project. But this time, he has answered it indeed!

“I don’t know… it could be an interesting character, I don’t know,” in his recent interview with Fandango, Phoenix expressed his interest for the role, but in a diplomatic way. The movie site also added in its article, “Phoenix said with a bit of a mischievous grin on his face. He didn’t deny the news like he has previously, but he also didn’t confirm either way whether he’d be playing DC’s Clown Prince.”

Joaquin Phoenix is known to be quite fussy about the character or films he does and this time also, he openly admits that only a big budget flick is not tempting enough for the actor, his character in the film and the filmmaker are his greater concerns. “I don’t really care about the genre, I care about the character and the filmmaker. If you have the ability to transcend the genre, then that’s what you want to do.”
