Former first lady- Michelle Obama will be releasing her much talked about personal memoir called - Becoming. On Sunday, Michelle Obama tweeted about her upcoming book on social media. The book will reveal a lot about her personal life. It will tell us how she discovered her voice and used it to empower others. There will be interesting stories covering various phases of her life, right from her childhood to her becoming the first lady of America.
Michelle Obama tweeted “Writing BECOMING has been a deeply personal experience. I talk about my roots and how a girl from the South Side found her voice, I hope my journey inspires readers to find the courage to become whoever they aspire to be. I can't wait to share my story." The tweet also includes a link to the book’s website that has the memoir’s official summary.
The official summary to the book reads “With unerring honesty and lively wit, she describes her triumphs and her disappointments, both public and private, telling her full story as she has lived it—in her own words and on her own terms.”
The book will cost $32.50 in the U.S. and $40.00 in Canada. The book will be released in 24 languages with an audio edition that will be read by the former first lady herself. The memoir is scheduled to be released on November 13, 2018 by Penguin Random House. One million copies will be donated to First Book- a non-profit that works to ensure that children in need have access to books and new learning materials in U.S and Canada.
