President Trump and His Stormy Daniels

It is US President Donald Trump’s first public remark on his alleged relationship with pornographic film actress Stormy Daniels, when he denied knowing of a deal in which a payment of $130,000 is made by his lawyer to the pornographic film actress Stormy Daniels in order to silence her about the alleged relationship she had with Donald Trump.

Till now Donald Trump has avoided any questions related to Daniels and his relationship, asked several times, though the White House has consistently said Trump denies there was a relationship. Trump made the remark aboard Air Force One while he was returning to Washington from White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, after a round table meet with senior bureaucrats and administrator of the country on tax cuts.

On board Air Force One, when a Journalist asked him whether he knew about the payment been made to the actress, Stormy Daniels, whose original name is Stephanie Clifford, on behalf, Trump promptly replied saying "No". The next question, on being asked why Michael Cohen, his personal lawyer, had made the payment, the US President replied, “You'll have to ask Michael Cohen. Michael is my attorney and you'll have to ask Michael Cohen.” The President also said he did not know where the money had come from, which media is raising several times.

Stephanie Clifford has time and again accused that lawyer Michael D Cohen, on behalf of Donald Trump paid her $130,000, before the 2016 election so that she can keep silence about her affair with Trump during his election campaigns.

At present she is fighting a legal battle against Donald Trump in order break a non-disclosure agreement that is preventing her from discussing her relationship with Trump publicly. She also has claimed that the agreement between her and Trump initiated by his lawyer Michael Cohen, is null and void because Donald Trump has never signed the agreement as one of the parties.

Now by saying he was not aware of the agreement, Donald Trump has confirmed that argument, which Stephanie Clifford has recently cited in her re-appeal to court and which would mean neither party is legally bound by it, thus it paves the way for Stephanie Clifford to break her silence without any kind of consequences.

After Trump’s denial, Stephanie Clifford’s lawyer Michael Avenatti, tweeted, saying, “We very much look forward to testing the truthfulness of Mr. Trump’s feigned lack of knowledge concerning the $130k payment as stated on Air Force One.”

Among number of women who are pursuing potentially damaging legal actions against President Trump, Daniels has kept up her profile high in the news by being in headlines round the week, which are helped by inciting Twitter feed, her widely viewed interview on “60 Minutes” recently supported by her ever ready lawyer.

She has claimed to have physical relationship with Donald Trump once in 2006 and their affair continued for a year after that. At that time, Trump was married to his current wife, Melania and she was pregnant with their son Barron, who was born in 2006.
