The new ‘Finance’ tab will only be relevant to those who have an interest in stocks and similar financial data, but is a convenient addition regardless. The tab aggregates important information, such as how your stocks are performing, insights into companies, and the latest trending news on the market. Google also added, the page will recommend stocks to users based on their interests, navigation behavior and more. ‘As part of this revamped experience, we’re retiring a few features of the original Google Finance, including the portfolio, the ability to download your portfolio, and historical tables’, Google mentioned in its statement.
How to get the new feature?
A user can find this new experience by clicking ‘More’ after conducting a search on Google for finance-related information or “Market Summary” in the finance section of Search, as shown in the above screen capture. For those who visit google.com/finance, you will get this new experience as well. A list of the stocks from your portfolio will be accessible through Your Stocks in the search result, and you can get notifications when there are any notable changes in their performance. On this page, users can see performance information about stocks you have chosen to follow, recommendations on other stocks to follow based on your interests, related news, market indices, and currencies. So what are you waiting for? If you are a smart investor, this feature is going to be very useful for tracking your investments.
