‘Adithya Varma’ Trailer Arrives, Revisit ‘Arjun Reddy’ & ‘Kabir Singh’ Magic in Tamil

Two back to back creations, two back to back success, and yet the lover boy is back again with his soulful love, agonized passion, and the fervent aggression that made him a most desired one, across the nation.

‘Adithya Varma’ trailer has arrived and according to one of its cast members, actor Priya Anand, the movie, which happens to be the Tamil rendition of ‘Arjun Reddy’, is going to feel fresh, despite its much-celebrated Telugu version.

Here goes the trailer:

Its original version, ‘Arjun Reddy’, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga took home about 51 crores and was largely admired for its neo bold & brave storytelling style. Vijay Deverakonda, the film lead played a diehard lover who turns an alcoholic after destiny makes him and his precious ladylove split ways. Although a brilliant surgeon, Arjun Reddy is gradually devoured by self-destruction.

Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘Kabir Singh’ was ‘Arjun Reddy’ remade in Hindi by the same director. Released in 2019 itself it accumulated response on such a magnum scale, that even surpassed the crew’s expectations.

‘Adithya Varma’ under the direction of Gireesaaya brings in Dhruv Vikram, son of Tamil star actor Chiyaan Vikram, as ‘Adithya’ and Banita Sandhu as his love interest ‘Meera’.

Interestingly, the theme background music has been kept as it is, for it went on to become the character mark for the male lead in each of its versions, as well as, a chord that reciprocated the protagonist’s rage, his unstable psychological state and a lot of swag.

‘Adithya Varma’ releases in theaters on November 9, 2019. Do share your predictions about this much-praised remake chain of a nationally loved love story.
