‘Dunki’ Releases in Theatres across India; Receives Positive Reviews on Day One

One of the most anticipated movies of 2023, Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dunki’, released in theatres today.

Fans across India are overjoyed at the release of the movie, they were seen celebrating by dancing to dhol beats and bursting crackers.

A big fan of SRK, was seen outside the cinema hall, dressed as SRK’s character Hardayal in the film. The fan was seen wearing a blue kurta pyjama with a matching sweater, exactly copying SRK's look in the film. He enacted a scene outside the cinema hall leaving the crowds cheering for him.

Reacting to the viral video, SRK wrote, “Arre ab picture dekhne toh jao ya bahar hi kushti karte rahoge. Go in see the movie and tell me if u all enjoyed it. (Will you go and watch the film in the theatre or just end up doing wrestling outside) (sic).”

Positive reviews about the movie have begun pouring in. Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki is a super success on day one. An important point to be considered is the movie does not depend entirely on SRK’s star power, however as always he has added the necessary ingredients that makes the movie a hit.

The movie revolves around the theme of illegal immigration and the questions of entering a country without a visa with a touch of lightheartedness, drama and humour. The engaging film has numerous twists and turns.

It is a laugh riot in the first half and takes a serious turn in the second.

The performance of all the actors have been described as “flawless.” Shah Rukh Khan’s performance has been praiseworthy. Notably, the star has portrayed the emotional and dramatic scenes with a lot of intensity.

A drunken scene between SRK and Vicky Kaushal is being much talked about. People are praising Vicky Kaushal for portraying the perfect punjabi munda, he has made a place in the hearts of the audience even though he had limited time in the film.

Anil Grover and Vikram Kochhar are great performers and they are ones to look out for in the future. Taapsee Pannu beautifully complements SRK, the couple look amazing together. Cinemagoers loved the actress who plays more than the hero’s romantic interest !

Some say ‘Dunki’ is Rajkumar Hirani’s best movie till date. Despite the mixed reviews, movie buffs have described it as a family entertainer and a cinematic masterpiece.
