Actor Arjun Mathur has been nominated for the Best Actor category for his performance in ‘Made in Heaven’ where he plays Karan Mehra who is a wedding planner.
He and his partner Tara Khanna (Sobhita Dhulipala) relentlessly organize wedding events especially catering to the rich and mighty.
More than the intricacies of the “big fat Indian wedding”, the show focuses on what goes on behind the scenes! It explores relationships and the unsettling personal lives of rich couples who are soon to tie the knot.
Karan who is also a homosexual during a period when being one was considered an offence falls into serious trouble. Amazon Prime Video- the OTT platform on which the show is being aired congratulated the actor with these words, “Congratulations to our Emmy nominee Karan Mehra aka Arjun Mathur.”
Famed Pritish Nandy show ‘Four More Shots Please!’ has also made it to the Emmys list. It has been nominated in the Best Comedy Series category.

The web series explores the lives of four independent and flawed women- Damini (Sayani Gupta), Maanvi Gagroo (Siddhi), Anjana (Kirti Kulhari), and Umang (Bani J). The episodes revolve around their love lives, careers, and break-ups. Despite the highs and lows in their ever-complicated lives, the foursome lean and depend on each other emphasizing the magic of sisterhood and friendship.
Netflix show ‘Delhi Crime’ featuring Shefali Shah made a comfortable place in the Best Drama Series category. The story revolves around Deputy Commissioner of Police Vartika Chaturvedi who has been assigned the task of getting hold of the crude rapists of the ghastly 2012 Nirbhaya rape case that sent shockwaves across the world. In the interim, she has to deal with real issues such as red-tapism, poor infrastructure, and the mounting pressure coupled with public's anger.
