Artificial intelligence has taken the internet by storm and creators and celebrities are utilizing this as a resource and generating amazing content for themselves. However, AI is also encouraging Identity theft. Popular Bollywood singer, Kumar Sanu was seen slamming the technology after his fake video of singing for the Pakistan Prime Minister emerged

Flagging an AI-generated video, Kumar Sanu appealed to the Government to take strong actions against the people circulating the video on the internet. In the video, Kumar Sanu was seen singing a song for the freedom of Imran Khan, former Prime Minister of Pakistan.

The surfaced video is of a concert that he performed in India but the voice has been manipulated which is leading to a false image of the known singer. Kumar was seen singing “Imran Khan ko azaad karaenge, wazir azam banayenge. Zulm ke khilaaf awaaz uthayenge, naya Pakistan hum banayenge”

The singer took to Instagram to explain about the issues. He stated “I want to clarify that I have never sung any song for Pakistan's former Prime Minister. The audio circulating on Facebook is not my voice—it has been created using AI. Some people are trying to defame me, and that’s why I want to tell my fans that this news is fake a lie!”

He urged the government to stop the circulation of such videos and claimed people of misusing the technology. He further requested people to not participate in such videos as it impacts the motivation of the singers.
