‘Shershaah’ is Live on Amazon Prime and It Has Received Amazing Reviews

‘Shershaah’ is now live on Amazon Prime Video. The biographical war film is centered on Captain Vikram Batra; the hero of the 1999 Kargil War. 

Siddharth Malhotra has a double role in the film. He aptly plays the character of Capt. Vikram Batra and his twin brother Vishal Batra.  Kiara Advani portrays his love interest Dimple Cheema who remained unmarried to this day. 

The film delves into the Kargil War and depicts how courageous soldiers display their unflinching determination to fight the enemy. The war scenes are truly heart breaking!

Siddharth impressed audiences with his performance. His character is subtle yet strong and some say that no one could’ve played the role better than Sid.

Kiara perfectly fits the bill of a small-town gal who is deeply in love.  Simplicity, beauty and truthfulness are the strong points in her character. 

Kiara and Siddharth brilliantly portrayed the pure, innocent, and true love that Captain and Dimple shared in reality. The film explores how Vikram met his soul mate in a university in Chandigarh. Stories reveal that Vikram was very “filmy” and one such scene was beautifully depicted in the film. 

Inside the temple Shershaah follows Cheema holding her red dupatta completing the ‘Parikrama’ for the fourth time. She was unaware of this the whole time. He makes her realize that the act was synonymous with the holy ritual of marriage. He then congratulates her on becoming Mrs Batra.

With Capt.Vikram Batra’s family 

Despite hailing from a non-army background, Capt. Vikram Batra followed his passion of becoming an army officer. Such was his determination towards his dreams! The film sends out a loud and clear message that one should follow their dreams relentlessly. 

It’s the second half of the film that scores the real brownie points. The dramatic scenes depict how ‘Shershaah’ captured bunker after bunker despite all odds in the rocky terrain. It is heart-warming to witness how the brave Captain kept the morale of his troop of soldiers alive. 

The film culminates into a tragic end that is bound to leave you teary-eyed. 

Reports also suggest that emotions were running high when Captain Batra’s family saw the film. The film has received some amazing reviews and some even consider it to be the best film of 2021.
