‘Singham’ IPS Officer Ajay Pal Sharma Shoots Rape and Murder Accused in Rampur, UP

The Indian social media is going all praise for Rampur SP Ajay Pal Sharma who has shot a rape and murder accused, in an encounter. The accused called Nazil has allegedly raped and murdered a six-year-old girl child on May 7, in Rampur, UP.


According to media sources, the accused got into an encounter with the Rampur police while fleeing. The ‘Singham’ officer Ajay Pal Sharma fired three rounds at him and injured both of his legs. Nazil, has been arrested thereafter and now undergoing treatment at a local hospital.



‘Singham Sharma’ has additionally confirmed that Rampur police has recovered the body of the victim.


Popularly known as the ‘Encounter Man’, IPS Ajay Pal Sharma is being greeted and respected all over the social media, including WhatsApp forwards. Rampur police have taken the effort to release a picture of this real-life ‘Singham with a gun which has already gone viral on web.


On Twitter, IPS Sharma responded to the greetings stating, “I m thankful to all for immense support of our action against the rapist and murderer. Received more than 1000 calls today from different parts of india being addressed as brother and son & congratulating. Proud to be in team of @rampurpolice @Uppolice @dgpup @myogiadityanath.”



However, the SP himself doesn’t think, there’s anything to like about being tagged as the ‘Encounter Specialist’, “These encounters did not happen by will, it was just chance,”.


IPS Sharma further added, “We want to arrest criminals, make recoveries and collect the maximum information on their hiding places, their other gang members, etc. This is the last option. We do not know what situation arises on the ground,”.
