5 Killed in Terrorist Attack in Ankara: Gunman Had Assault Rifles
Many people were injured as terrorists attacked TUSAS HQ. Terrorists armed with assault rifles, open fires on busy streets and parking lots.
Many people were left injured after Gunman entered Turkish Aerospace Industries and opened fire. Close to 22 people have been injured and 3 of them are in critical condition. During the attack, Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan was in a meeting with Russian President Vlamadir Putin for the 16th BRICC meeting.
The attack was recorded in CCTV footage where two gunmen were seen walking through the streets before getting into the building and opening fire on people which killed close to 5 people. The clips from the CCTV footage are making rounds on social media.
The attackers have not been identified till now nor any terror group has claimed responsibility for the attack. However, the Turkish police are trying to identify the attackers. In another video that is being circulated widely, two men are seen getting out of a yellow car and started shooting people.
Since no group has claimed responsibility for the attack, the Turkish Government suspects the Kurdistan Workers Party which is in huge spur with the government. Different operations are being undertaken to nab the attackers. Minister Ali Yerlikaya claimed, "The identification process and the search for fingerprints are continuing and we will say which terrorist organization was behind the attack," moreover, he added “The way in which this action was carried out is very probably linked to the PKK.”
