A Car Driven by a 15-Year-Old Crushes a Toddler

A 15-year-old girl was crushed to death after a kid of 15 years was driving a car down the alley where she was playing. The incident has highlighted the cases of underage driving. The incident happned on Monday which was widely celebrated as Eid. However, for the parents of Anaabiya, it transformed into a day to mourn the loss.

A CCTV footage has been discovered which shows that the 15-year-old was playing in the alley and a car was approaching her slowly. The driver also stopped the car a meter away from the child. However, it starts to roll again without the driver being aware of the kid under the wheel. The child was crushed by the left front wheel.

Bystanders rushed to the spot and pulled the child out from under the car. She was rushed to the hospital nearby, where she was declared dead because of severe internal and external injuries. Police claimed that the car belonged to the neighbour whose son was behind the wheel. A case has been registered for rash driving and causing death due to negligence. Being a juvenile, the father of the accused was taken into custody.

The incident highlighted how underage driving around the country is creating a threat to the people around. Many different incidents have previously raised such suspicion. Many people are victims of accidents that are caused because of negligence and irresponsibility. For Anaabiya, the festivity of Eid turned into mourning.

A similar case was seen in March, where a mother and two of her children were hit by a speeding Audi in New York City. The car had hit another car before hitting the pedestrians. After rushing them to the hospital, the mother was declared dead. However, one of the kids was in critical condition and later succumbed to the injuries.

The drivers of both the cars were sent to the same hospital and their condition is belived to be normal and stable. NYPD commissioner claimed that "I will call it like it is. This was a horrific tragedy caused by someone who shouldn't have been on the road," she said, adding: "A mother and two young children killed. Another child fighting for his life. A family and a neighborhood devastated."
