The speeding Lamborghini hits the workers apparently at a speed of 300 kmph. The driver was arrested, and the car was seized by the Noida police. Investigations underway.
A Lamborghini car was allegedly overspeeding, and a labourer working on the road was injured. The incident happened near Sector 94, which happned as the car was overspeeding and was out of control before it crashed on to the workers. The two laborers, who were also admitted to the nearby hospital, were identified as residents of Chattisgarh. According to the hospital authorities, the people suffered severe injuries on their legs; however, they are out of danger.
One of the workers said that the luxury car was doing more than 300kmph in speed, and the labourers got stuck in between. “A car was coming at a speed of 300 kmph. All three of us fell inside the drain after getting hit by the car. He was driving at 300 kmph," claimed the labourers. The police officials have yet to confirm the actual speed of the vehicle and have not released any statement regarding the matter.
Bhupendra Singh, in charge of the Sector 126 police station, informed that the car driver of the accused is identified as Deepak, a resident of Ajmer. The car is, however, registered from Pondicherry. The car has been seized, and the driver has been arrested. Further investigations are on, which may determine what led him to crash his car. Deepak informed the police that the crash had happned mainly because of the fault in the car.
According to a video shown on social media, after the accident, Deepak got out of the car and reportedly asked if someone had died. He was seen asking, “Koi Mar Gaya kya Idhaar?” before getting out of the car. An eyewitness from the scene narrated that “I saw the car in a video of one of my influencer friends. The driver could not control the car, hit people, and then crashed into the divider. It is a Pondicherry-registered car,”
An initial probe revealed that “The owner, Mridul Tiwari, a resident of Noida and a YouTuber with over 18 million subscribers, was selling the car and Deepak had come to check its condition,” claimed Noida ADCP tonews agencies. A medical test was also done to ensure if he was under the influence of Alcohol, and the reports showed no sign of the presence of Liquor.
Mridul is 24 years old and is a popular YouTube influencer who has more than 18 crore subscribers on YouTube. The incident has raised concerns over safe and responsible driving, which can be quite challenging for the pedestrian and other vehicles on the road.
