This project is somewhat special to the ‘Thakshak’ girl Tabu as well, as it’s after quite sometime that the talented artist will be seen in a Telugu film. Tabu, paired with Nagarjuna in Telugu blockbuster ‘Ninne Pelladata’(1996) went on to receive National Award for the best feature film in Telugu.
Later on, Tabu’s mindblowing performances in Indian cinema aided her to evolve as one of the most outstanding actresses of this time. ‘Chandni Bar’ (2001), ‘Maqbool’ (2003), ‘Cheeni Kum’ (2007), ‘Drishyam’ (2015), ‘Andhadhun’ (2018), the actress bewitched us in all these and more. ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramulo’, starring Allu Arjun in lead, is directed by Trivikram Srinivas and produced by Allu Aravind and S. Radha Krishna. Although the film plot hasn’t been disclosed yet, it’s already got a release date, January 12th, 2020.
