Actor Aamir Khan was seen getting emotional at a recent event in Mumbai for his upcoming production Ek Din.

The actor attended the event, titled ‘Ek Din Ki Mehfil’, with his girlfriend, Gauri Spratt.

Speaking at the event, Aamir Khan praised Sai Pallavi’s performance in the film, saying, “Sai has done such an amazing job—you are going to be blown away. For me, Sai is the best actress we have in our country today.” Sai Pallavi responded with a smile, thanking him for his kind words.

The actor also commented on his son Junaid Khan’s performance in a lighter vein, saying, “Junaid ne bhi theek thaak kiya hai. Woh mera beta hai, toh kuch bol nahi sakta” (Even Junaid did a good job, but he is my son, so I can’t say much), prompting a warm reaction from the audience.

The film is officially adapted from the Thai movie One Day, which revolves around unrequited love and the idea of living out a fleeting, perfect moment with someone you deeply care about. While the core premise is retained, Ek Din is expected to be culturally reinterpreted for Indian audiences, with emotional depth and relatability at its core.

Originally scheduled to release on November 7, 2025, the film will now release on May 1, 2026.
