Pictures on the web, shared by Vishnu Vishal on X, showed a smiling Aamir in a rescue boat.
Aamir was seen in a white kurta and jeans while Vishnu Vishal's wife, badminton player Jwala Gutta, was also present in the boat.
The stranded actors were rescued from the house by the fire and rescue department in Karapakkam on Tuesday due to cyclone Michaung.
While sharing the pictures on X, Vishal wrote, “Thanks to the fire and rescue department in helping people like us who are stranded. Rescue operations have started in karapakkam..Saw 3 boats functioning already. Great work by TN govt in such testing times. Thanks to all the administrative people who are working relentlessly.”
Tamil actor Ajith met Aamir Khan and Vishal to learn about their welfare, and helped them with the travel arrangements.
Vishal posted a picture of the three of them with these words, “After getting to know our situation through a common friend, the ever helpful Ajith Sir came to check in on us and helped with travel arrangements for our villa community members...Love you Ajith Sir!”
Dr T R B Rajaa, Tamil Nadu’s Minister for Industries praised Aamir Khan for not using his influence to get himself out of the flood situation in Chennai.
As per reports, Aamir Khan has been living in Chennai to take care of his ailing mother since October. He will next be seen in Sitaare Zameen Par. The actor was last seen in Laal Singh Chaddha, the remake of Forrest Gump.
