Actress Kareena Kapoor Tests Covid Positive

Kareena Kapoor has tested positive for coronavirus on December 12. She is currently in home quarantine. 

The actress confirmed this news on her Instagram stories. 

Kareena has said that she is okay and her family is not showing any symptoms. 

She wrote, “I have tested positive for Covid. I immediately isolated myself while following all medical protocols. I request anyone who has come in contact with me to please get tested. My family and staff are also double vaccinated. They are currently not showing any symptoms. Thankfully, I am feeling ok and hope to be up and about soon.”

The actress’ close friend Amrita Arora has also contracted the virus. 

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has asked people who have come in contact with both the actresses to take the RTPCR test.

Around 15 people who came in contact with Kareena have been tested by the BMC for Covid and the reports will come on 14 December. 

Kareena’s spokesperson told India Today that she and Amrita Arora contracted Covid-19 at an intimate dinner that had just a few close friends. One person in the group seemed unwell. 

The spokesperson also said that she has been responsible and followed all Covid protocols. He said, “As soon as she tested positive she has quarantined herself and is following the necessary precautions and protocols to deal with the condition.”
