After ‘Thugs of Hindostan’, Aamir Khan to Plunge into His Next Prodigious Project, ‘Mahabharat’

Guess what Aamir Khan is upto nowadays? Delving deep into the drawbacks of his currently running big flick ‘Thugs of Hindostan’? Well, no! He has moved way ahead and all set to start working in his next, most ambitious project, ‘Mahabharat’. And as per sources, the actor has already frozen one of the eminent characters for himself in the epic tale, which is of the mischievous piper and the Godly avatar on earth, Lord Krishna.

After much speculations on the cinematic representation of the great Indian epic ‘Mahabharat’, finally, the project is going to be executed as a web series and will be aired in seven parts. Produced by Aamir, the series will be casting absolutely fresh faces for its innumerable characters, although Aamir’s Krishna is going to be an exception.

‘Thugs of Hindostan’ which gathered much hype via its unique promotional techniques, however, did not go too well on the expectations of the audiences. Reviews turned out to be disappointing, even the Mr. Perfectionist himself had to face harsh criticisms for choosing such a lousy script. In spite of the presence of the ‘Big B’ of Bollywood, Mr. Amitabh Bacchan as ‘Khudabaksh’ in the film, and beauty damsel Katrina’s sensuous moves, the feature could not be saved.

Reputed film critique Taran Adarsh revealed the declining biz of “Thugs of Hindostan’ on his Twitter handle, mentioning, “The DOWNFALL continues... #ThugsOfHindostan gets weaker with each passing day... With biz declining further on Day 3 [Sat], the writing is clear on the wall... Will find it tough to sustain from Day 5 [Mon] onwards... #TOH”.

Aamir Khan Productions, which has been delighting the Indian masses with some of its commendable yet entertaining films like Lagaan(2001), Taare Zameen Par(2007), Peepli Live(2010), Dhobi Ghat(2010), Talaash(2012), Dangal(2016) among others, will certainly do justice to epic’s script. Bring it on Aamir, we are earnestly looking forward!
