Artificial intelligence tools have become more modernized than ever, and they are now able to handle various tasks with surprising speed and accuracy. In a recent creative project, an Instagram user used AI to give a fresh, hyper-realistic twist to some of India’s most iconic brand mascots. Using generative AI, the project reimagines familiar characters like Amul Girl, the Parle-G biscuit child, and Air India’s Maharaja, making them almost life-like.

The video features a colorful and expressive sense: the Amul Girl radiantly holding a cheesy pyramid, the Parle-G girl sitting on a stack of biscuits, and the Air India Maharaja smiling warmly in a traditional pose. There is also a vibrant image of the Nirma Girl twirling in her classic polka-dot dress. These AI-generated visuals are artistic and filled with emotion, combining modern technology with a touch of childhood nostalgia.

"Reimagining Iconic Brand Mascots in Real Life. I thought of using AI to reimagine iconic mascots like the Amul Girl, the Maharaja of Air India, Bholu from Indian Railways, Gattu from Asian Paints, the Nirma Girl, Fido Dido from 7UP, and Chester Cheetah from Cheetos in a hyper-realistic world. The results are pretty impressive, right?" the Instagram post reads.

This inventive approach quickly gained attention online, with many praising the imaginative transformation of these cultural icons. One viewer commented, “Parle-G girl is so cute and all Gattu, Nirma girls were amazing too. ” Another added, “This is so great, in every term nostalgic and thinking pov. It might bring tears to the eyes of Nirma's founder.”

A third follower wrote, “Omg man! You are outstandingly creative! This is so cute and nostalgic.”

However, not everyone felt the same. Some users raised ethical concerns about using personal likenesses, especially the Nirma Girl, who was reportedly inspired by the founder’s daughter. One thoughtful comment read, “Great effort, but something about it bothers me personally. Some of these logos, like Nirma, are the actual daughters of the founder. Somehow, I believe that using pictures with such personal stories could be a violation of privacy and ethically concerning. While you have used it creatively, there are people who would not. Not to discourage you, you did well! Would love it if you could come up with your interpretation of these logos and then perhaps a video.”

This project shows how AI can be a powerful tool in the world of digital art, offering new ways to reinterpret beloved avatars through a modern and emotional lens.
