Air Italy Connects Delhi, Mumbai

Air Italy on Monday marked its entry into the Indian market, offering services from New Delhi and Mumbai to Milan, effective from December 7 and December 14, 2018, respectively. The move is to connect Italy to two of the main business destinations in Asia. India incidentally will be the 4th international addition to the Air Italy network after the successful launch of its operations to destinations like New York (JFK), Miami (MIA) and Bangkok (BKK)- all from its new hub in Milan-Malpensa (MXP).


Air Italy chief operating officer, Rossen Dimitrov said that they look forward to the connection between Italy and two of the main business and tourist destinations in Asia - Mumbai and New Delhi. Italy, a land of natural beauty, inhabited by people of fine tastes, indulging in hearty meals and bound to timeless traditions—is certainly something all Indians can relate to. With the launch of its India operations in December, the airline is excited to offer newer routes and a wider travel option to the discerning travelers from India. Its new service will increase convenience for business guests, leisure travelers as well as students, traveling between India and Italy, further strengthening commerce as well as tourism ties between the two countries, he said.


With the addition of the two new routes, Air Italy offers travelers a range of both domestic and international connectivity options from the airline’s hub and access to exclusive destinations.


Passengers traveling from India to Milan will benefit from convenient connections via Malpensa to Italian key cities and destinations such as Rome, Catania, and Palermo (Sicily), Naples (Campania) Lamezia Terme (Calabria) and Olbia Costa Smeralda (Sardinia). Moreover, Air Italy passengers from Delhi and Mumbai can easily reach New York and Miami with a comfortable connection at convenient rates via Milan Malpensa.


The Airbus A330-200 will be deployed for the two new routes from India to Milan, operating thrice a week from both cities. Offering 24 seats in the exclusive Business Class cabin, Air Italy allows maximum comfort on fully reclining seats, an exotic Italian menu accompanied by a choice of fine Italian wines and champagne, Wi-Fi service. Besides, there will be extensive in-flight entertainment and personalized attention from the onboard staff. The Economy Class cabin, with 228 seats, offers Air Italy guests a very comfortable flight, a highly personalized service, Wi-Fi and a wide choice of onboard entertainment.

Promotional fares to promote the new routes are on sale, starting from Rs 29, 472 for a return ticket per person, all-inclusive from Delhi, and from Rs 30,597 from Mumbai.
