Alia Bhatt Receives Best Actress Award for Gangubai Kathiawadi @ 69th National Film Awards

Alia Bhatt is currently trending in the news for another achievement. The actress has yet another award to her credit for her amazing acting skills. 

She has been bestowed with the best actress award for her performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi. This is her first National Award. 

The actress took the award alongside Kriti Sanon who was also bestowed with the honour for her performance in ‘Mimi’, directed by Laxman Utekar. 

Bhatt attended the ceremony, held at Delhi's Vigyan Bhawan on Tuesday with her husband Ranbir Kapoor. 

She draped her wedding ivory saree for the ceremony although it was styled differently. Her hair was neatly pulled back into a french hair roll. She accessorised her hair with two white roses while Ranbir Kapoor complimented her in a black suit. 

Ranbir was seen capturing the big moment on his phone when Alia received the award. 

The national award winner shared some of the glorious moments on her Insta profile. “A photo, a moment, a memory for life”, she captioned the snaps. 

Kriti Sanon attended the award ceremony with her parents Rahul and Geeta Sanon. 

Allu Arjun was also present at the ceremony. He won the Best Actor award for his impressive role in Pushpa: The Rise. 

Veteran actress Waheeda Rehman was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Lifetime Achievement Award.

The actors greeted and congratulated each other. They also posed for the shutterbugs in the prestigious ceremony.
