Those wounded were aged between eight to eighty-five.
The suspected gunman named Robert ‘Bobby’ Crimo III, 22, has been arrested. Reports suggest that he was exposed to graphic multimedia content. According to acquaintances he was a loner in high school and was part of a rap club in high school.
According to some social media users the suspect operated a Youtube channel that showcased videos on shootings, death and other graphic content. These violent videos were online for many months.
He released several self made rap songs under his stage name ‘Awake the rapper.’ Some of these videos are still circulating online on youtube.
Crimo lived with his dad and his uncle in Highwood forest according to neighbours. His father Bob Crimo, owns Bob’s Pantry & Deli, a popular spot in Highland Park, and had run for mayor in 2019.
Robert Bobby’ Crimo stands at 5’11 and weighs around 54 kg. He has long hair. The suspect is a tattoo lover. His neck, right palm and right hand is tattooed with red roses and green leaves.
His right cheek has four tally marks which is striked through with a line and number 47 on his right temple.
Robert was arrested on Tuesday when he was trying to flee in a Honda Fit.
In a video released by the Chicago affiliate of ABC News, Crimo can be seen exiting a car with his hands raised, not far from the shooting site, in Lake forest, Illinois.
Law enforcement agents have surrounded his house and further investigations are underway.
