Amitabh Bachchan Contributes Rs. 2 Crore to Covid Care Facility in Delhi
Actor Amitabh Bachchan has contributed Rs. 2 crore for the covid facility for the Rakab Ganj Gurdwara in Delhi.
Actor Amitabh Bachchan has contributed Rs. 2 crore for the covid facility for the Rakab Ganj Gurdwara in Delhi.
The actor has also arranged oxygen cylinders for the covid care facility.
The president of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management committee Manjinder Singh Sirsa announced that the operations at the facility will begin today.
The facility will have 300 beds, oxygen concentrators, doctors, paramedics , and ambulances.
Manjinder Singh Sirsa who is also the national spokesperson for the Akali Dal party took to Twitter to announce Amitabh Bachchan’s contribution to the facility. “Sikhs are Legendary, Salute to Their Service”, he wrote expressing that these were Big B’s words when he made the immense contribution.
He added, “While Delhi was grappling for Oxygen, Amitabh Ji called me almost daily to enquire about the progress of this Facility (sic).”
Mr. Bachchan was part of the Vax Live event on Twitter on Sunday. The Vax live global event covered the topic of coronavirus.

In the video, Bachchan said, “Namaskar, this is Amitabh Bachchan. My country India is battling with the sudden surge of the second wave of Covid 19. As a global citizen I appeal to all global citizens to rise up, speak to your governments, pharmaceutical companies and ask them to donate, to give, to extend a helping hand, to the public that needs it the most. Every effort counts. As Mahatma Gandhiji said: 'In a gentle way you can shake the world'. thank you.”
