Asked to Stand Away from Doors, Man Kills Bus Conductor in Bengaluru

A passenger in a Bengaluru bus was asked to stand away from the automatic door got infuriated and stabbed the bus conductor. The accused, 23 years old stabbed Yogesh, 43 years old in broad daylight. The victim was rushed to the hospital where he was declared as out of danger which was further confirmed by BMTC.

The accused, Harsh Sinha was seen in a video where he got angry at the conductor and other passengers as well. Scrabble does not verify the authenticity of the video. In Harsh’s claim, he informed that he worked for a BPO firm that fired him a few days back. His crime was a result of frustration because of the joblessness. He had dependent parents who lived in his hometown, Ranchi.

Police in a statement said that the incident took place near the ITPL bus stand when the bus conductor, Yogesh asked Harsh to stand at a distance from the automatic door as it was causing inconvenience for the people to board and deboard the bus. Amid a brawl, between the two, Harsh then took out a knife from the bag and stabbed the conductor.

The passengers panicked and started running in the bus. In the circulated video, Harsh was seen threatening other passengers. Driver, Siddalingaswamy in his prompt action had locked the doors of the bus and escaped in order to keep Harsh trapped inside. Harsh attempted to escape the bus by breaking windows but failed.

"The bus conductor was admitted to a hospital. He sustained two to three stab injuries but is out of danger now. The accused passenger has been arrested in the attempt to murder case” claimed a PTI statement.
