Bangalore CEO Falls Sick after BP Hits 230, Claims Health Is More Important

In the current world of work, professionals often dive deep into their work, forgetting about their health. The constant pressure of meeting deadlines and switching between tasks is leading to poor health, which can be extremely challenging. A CEO from Bangalore took to LinkedIn to explain how he realised that health is more important than work.

Amit Mishra, a CEO from Bangalore, was working on his Laptop when his nose suddenly started to bleed, after which he had to be admitted to the ICU. Upon preliminary checkup, it was found that his Blood Pressure had reached 230. He also claimed that he had no dizziness, nor did he feel any dissatisfaction. The conditions worsened when his BP dropped significantly.

Though Amit is undergoing treatment and doctors are yet to identify the reason behind his fluctuations regarding the BP, he reminded people how things can go bad if one does not take care of oneself. He claimed, “Your body doesn’t always give clear warnings. High BP, stress, and health risks can be silent killers. Regular checkups are a must.” he further added that “Work is important, but health is non-negotiable. We often ignore small signs, thinking we’re fine, until we’re not.”

After his post on Linkedin, some people wished for his speedy recovery, while some started a streak of comments where they prioritised his health and well-being. One of the followers claimed that that “I wish you a healthy recovery. This happened to me a few years back, though it was not this serious. Take care of yourself and prioritise health over everything. That would be my advice to everyone.”

Another user claimed that “Exercise is something that we in India neglect badly. We often see people over 50 just end up going for a normal walk as a start. Sports is something that should be part of our daily routine right from youth/childhood.”

Another user claimed that “Unfortunately, everybody is in the rat race. Requirements have been unnecessarily inflated. Societal pressure is blurring reality and influencing people to make nonsensical choices. All these add up to eroding the most important wealth, which is health. I wish you a speedy recovery.”

Health is often neglected by the professionals even more as to many work can be satisfying which may take majority of the energy in disguise. Hence, the most important aspect, as claimed by many corporate doctors, is to maintain a work-life balance. This will enrich the lives of employees and will foster a positive working environment within the workplace.
