Beauty and the Beast Live Concert at the Hollywood Bowl


Beauty and the Beast will be returning this Summer. But except for hitting the big screen, the whole act will be presented on stage, absolutely live. The entire performance will go along with live choir and orchestra. What’s more? As per sources, live imagery will be projected on stage screen to give audiences the feel so that they can totally indulge in the live performance.


Another good news for audiences! There will be a dress up contest where everyone from the audience can take part. Wow!

Zooey Deschanel to Play Belle in this Live Concert


Zooey Deschanel, who is an American actress, model, singer-songwriter will be playing Belle, the lead of the Disney epic, Beauty and the Beast. This 38-year-old famous face is no wonder, glad! “Performing Beauty And The Beast, one of my favorite movies growing up, in a special concert at the legendary Hollywood Bowl, is a dream come true.” She also added saying, “I am looking forward to what I'm sure will be a magical event.”


Entire Cast of Beauty and the Beast Live Concert


The cast of Beauty and the Beast Live Concert is studded with a number of renowned personalities. The character of Beast will be played by Anthony Evans, an American singer and songwriter. Taye Diggs, the American actor-singer will be portraying Gaston, the bad guy in the film. Character of Mrs. Potts will be played by Jane Krakowski and Kelsey Grammer will be appearing as Lumiere. Kelsey is also a reputed voice actor.


Beauty and the Beast Live Concert Music Arrangement


The popular song ‘Be our guest’ will be voiced by Kelsey Grammer in the live concert. He expressed that he’s absolutely thrilled about it. Originally the song was sung by Alan Menken, and Kelsey admits it’s an honor for him to get in to his footsteps. “I love this film, I love Alan Menken and I loved Jerry Orbach -- the title song, as sung by Angela Lansbury, makes me cry to this day.”, he told the media.


The orchestra will be conducted by Michael Korasin and all the songs from the film will be there in the live act of Beauty and the Beast.

The director of the concert, Richard Kraft is the man behind previous celebrated live concerts of The Little Mermaid and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He revealed his excitement saying, “This cast is nothing less than enchanted.” Talking about the live action performance he declares, “By mixing film, music, dancers, digital projections and effects, the production will pay homage to the original movie, but also deliver something that can only be experienced live.”


Beauty and the Beast, A Superhit Disney Production


Originally released in 1991, the superhit Disney animated production was later adapted by small to large production houses, repeatedly. The epic tale revolves around a woman to attempts to free her father from a castle which is the home to a Beast. But, the beast is originally a cursed handsome prince who used to be a narcissist and worshipper of external beauty, only. The tale sends out this beautiful message that true beauty lies within!


Beauty and the Beast, was made a live-action movie that released in 2017. The leads casts were Emma Watson playing Belle, Dan Stevens portraying Beast and Luke Evans as Gaston.


The live concert will go on for two nights - 25th and 26th May. Tickets are available from March 16!
