So glad some of my influence has rubbed off on you!"

Journey on becoming a published author

Sonali Bendre who is a published author herself has organized interactive sessions with both upcoming and popular authors such as Preeti Shenoy, Ravi Subramanium, Anand Neelakantan, Amish Tripathi and Rashmi Bansal. The actress made her debut as an author when she released her book titled ‘The Modern Gurukul: My Experiments with Parenting’ in 2015.

In an interview with Rajeev Masand, the ‘Sarfarosh’ actress says that her tryst with writing started when she began making small notes on her personal journey of being a new mother. The journey of being a new mother was quite challenging and a never-ending role for her. She hesitated to publish the writings as she felt that it was too personal. Nonetheless, with a lot of persuasion and coaxing by her close pals and husband, the actress went ahead and published the book. The actress’ son Ranveer playfully gave her the tag of being a ‘published author’ which made her feel on top of the world.
