New Delhi: Excitement is steadily mounting for Bigg Boss Season 19 as the reality TV spectacle gears up for its much-awaited premiere on August 24. Fans are already abuzz with conjectures about who might join the house this season.

Amid the flurry of speculations, a fresh contender’s name has emerged, Himanshi Narwal, wife of a Pahalgam terror attack victim and a former college acquaintance of Bigg Boss OTT2 winner Elvish Yadav.
According to a report by Telly Chakkar, the show’s producers are contemplating bringing Himanshi on board. A source revealed, “Makers want to rope in a few people who would connect with the viewers instantly, and thus there were discussions to get Himanshi Narwal on board for Bigg Boss 19. However, there’s no confirmation regarding the same.”
Contrarily, several media platforms have asserted that Himanshi has neither been approached nor is she likely to feature in the program.
Background
Himanshi became a focal point of national attention earlier this year after the tragic demise of her husband, Navy officer Vinay Narwal. He lost his life during a terrorist assault in Pahalgam, Kashmir, on April 22, 2025.
The couple had been on their honeymoon when the grievous incident occurred. Heart-wrenching photographs of Himanshi grieving beside her husband’s mortal remains circulated widely online, evoking a wave of public sympathy.
In one of his candid vlogs, Elvish Yadav disclosed that Himanshi had been his college mate. “I passed out in 2018, and since then, we have not spoken at all. Gurgaon, Delhi, is my city. We used to enjoy ourselves so much; we would go to the metro station together. I had her number, but I did not call her because no one can pick up your phone at that time and tell you,” he said.
While Himanshi’s possible inclusion remains in a liminal state, other rumoured names in discussions for Bigg Boss 19 include Shailesh Lodha, Gurucharan Singh, Munmun Dutta, Lataa Saberwal, Faisal Shaikh (Mr. Faisu), Jannat Zubair, Purav Jha, Apoorva Mukhija, and several more.
