The book is infused with her never-seen-before childhood photographs including one in which she’s near the piano singing into a child’s tape recorder.
In the audiobook, you’ll find the singer telling stories about her first release ‘Ocean Eyes’ and the special relationship she shares with her fans.
Through the audiobook, listeners will get a glimpse into her childhood and come across untold stories and observations from her personal and professional life. The narrator is none other than Billie herself.
Even her parents have chimed in and have shared their memories as parents.
In the audiobook, Eilish says, “It’s funny like, I think a lot of people think that when Ocean Eyes came out, suddenly I was a superstar and quit everything and just became like famous... and it did not work like that at all,” she told Reuters.
“Yeah, my life stayed the same for a while. I was still dancing hours and hours and hours a day. And I was in choir still and I was doing all the same things I did. I was in circus class,” she said.
“But to me it was huge and it was like the biggest moment of my life,” she added.
Recently the singer created a buzz for her new look for her upcoming album on the cover of British Vogue magazine. Mostly seen adorning baggy pants and oversized T-shirts, she looked completely different from her usual style on the June 2021 issue of the magazine.
She carried a classic look adorning a peach corset and her hair was styled into loose curls. She admitted that she never really did something like this before and was nervous about the outcome.
Even actress Priyanka Chopra commented on Eilish’s new look by saying, “Oh my gosh! I think I had to stop and stare for a second. She looks unbelievable. She is so beautiful.”
“Billie being herself in her glory, that’s what resonated with people is her being her best self and she looked amazing,” the actor added.
In the interview for the magazine, Eilish talked about body shaming incidents she’s experienced in the past, female empowerment, and her upcoming second album. The seven-time Grammy winner has earlier addressed the issue of body shaming and the pressures women face in the industry.
In a spoken word video called ‘Not my responsibility,’ Eilish has highlighted how people make assumptions of others based on their size and dressing style. She rightly questions in the video: “Is my value based only on your perception?”
In 2020 Eilish became the youngest artist to write and record a James Bond theme song at the age of 18. She’s is the youngest person and second in history to win awards in four major categories in the Grammys- Best New Artist, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year.
