Bolly Actress Sonali Bendre Diagnosed with ‘High Grade’ Cancer, Prayers, Good Wishes Pouring in
Bollywood actress Sonali Bendre Behl is diagnosed with high-grade cancer and currently undergoing treatment in New York. She tweets about her fight and optimism, earning immense love in return.
Truth is stranger than fiction. And no matter how magically characters recover from a menacing disease on the silver screen, the reality is too harsh, too unpredictable. Bollywood actress Sonali Bendre’s encounter with cancer is one of those. The 43-year-old actress talked about it on social media sharing her experiences, her optimistic approach, her battle and the support she is garnering from her family and friends.
Currently, the beautiful actress is undergoing the “high-grade cancer” treatment in New York and declares that she is “taking this battle head on”.

Although in the recent times Bendre was not very active on the big screen, she never ceased appearing on television shows. #IndiasBestDramebaaz Season 3, that she was a part of, had to bring in actress Huma Qureshi in place of Sonali Bendre. But no matter what, Bendre is promoting the show on her Twitter handle with a lot of enthusiasm.
Since the news broke out on the interest a number of popular faces and stars are sending their prayers and support for Bendre.

Bendre started her career as a model and later joined the films as a lead actress. The most noteworthy films in her career include - Sarfarosh, Duplicate, Hum Saath-Saath Hain: We Stand United, Kal Ho Naa Ho among others. Interestingly, in Kal Ho Naa Ho, the 2003 romantic drama directed by Nikhil Advani, she portrayed the character of a doctor who was treating her on-screen terminally ill patient, played by Bollywood Badshah Shahrukh Khan.
One of the most revered Indian film actors of this time, Irfan Khan has also been diagnosed with cancer and reportedly, he is under treatment at the moment, in London.
Amongst other B-Town divas Manisha Koirala, who has made a remarkable comeback in mainstream films with Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Sanju’ has been a patient of ovarian cancer. Lisa Ray, once most sought after model and the face of a number of big-wig Indian brands stepped into the Indian glamor industry with modelling. Her battle with cancer gained attention in media, and as per reports, she’s healed and leading a normal life.
