Brad Pitt’s Golden Globes Speech Has Been Trending for the Right Reasons
In his speech, Brad Pitt said that he wanted to bring his mother along to the award ceremony. He added, “I wanted to bring my mom, but everyone I sit next to they say I'm dating them. That would be awkward.”
Brad Pitt’s acceptance speech at the 77th edition of the Golden Globe Awards has caught the attention of fans and has been trending ever since. He also took home the Best Supporting Actor trophy for his performance in Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Once Upon A Time in Hollywood’ that night in Beverly Hilton.
In his speech, Brad Pitt said that he wanted to bring his mother along to the award ceremony. He added, “I wanted to bring my mom, but everyone I sit next to they say I'm dating them. That would be awkward.” This statement evoked a chuckle from Jennifer Aniston- Brad Pitt’s ex-wife who was seated among the audience.

The Golden Globes brought two exes-turned-friends together although the conversation between them lasted for a few minutes during the after-party.
A source told Elle, “They said hello very quickly.” When they saw each other they were happy, they hugged each other. Both of them kept a low profile probably because they didn’t want to attract unnecessary rumors. Though the couple interacted, the conversation didn’t last long and Brad left the party shortly after that.
Jen and Pitt have been friends for quite a while and both have been publicly single for a long period. After being married for five years they divorced in 2005. Pitt then married Mr. and Mrs. Smith co-star Angelina Jolie. They later separated in 2016. Many of Jen and Pitt’s followers still desire to see the pair together albeit their brief interaction at the globes has put an end to rising hopes. At least for the moment!
What comes as a big surprise is that Brad Pitt didn’t speak about his children in the trending speech, keeping in mind how fond he is of his seven kids shared with ex-wife Angelina Jolie. As per a TMZ report, Pitt intentionally and “strategically” left his children out from the speech to protect their privacy and he wants it to remain that way.
In his acceptance speech, Pitt also thanked director Quentin Tarantino and co-star Leonardo Dicaprio. While speaking about co-star Leonardo he said, “My partner in crime, LDC. He's an all-star, he's a gentleman, and I wouldn't be here without you, man - Still I would have shared the raft.”
By referring to the raft or to be precise the door, Pitt has once again reignited the ‘Titanic debate’ on whether Leonardo’s character ‘Jack’ could have fit on the door in the middle of the cold deep waters.
