Camille Vasquez Gets Huge Promotion after Win in The Johnny and Amber Defamation Case

Star lawyer Camille Vasquez is making headlines for getting a big promotion after her excellent performance and big win while representing Johnny Depp in the famed defamation case against Amber Heard. 

She emerged as the real hero of the case because of her aggressive cross examination of Amber Heard and for labelling Ms.Heard as the real abuser in the closing arguments to the jury.

Numerous videos of how she took on Amber Heard and cross examined her during the six week long trial are circulating online. 

She was brought into Depp’s legal team as an Associate Lawyer. As the trial progressed everyone lauded her for her arguments and her exemplary skills in handling the case. 

Law firm Brown Rudnick shared the good news on Camille becoming a partner on Twitter. 

“We are pleased to announce that Camille Vasquez has been elevated to partner. She was a key member of the litigation team that won a jury verdict last week for actor #JohnnyDepp in his defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard,” the tweet read.

In a statement responding to her promotion, Vasquez said: “I am delighted that Brown Rudnick has given me its full vote of confidence by having me join the partnership.”

The news was to be announced at the end of their fiscal year but “Camille's performance during the Johnny Depp trial proved to the world that she was ready to take this next step now. We are incredibly proud of her and look forward to what she will accomplish as our newest partner”, the statement read. 

That the lawyer is a big fan of Johnny Depp doesn’t come as a big surprise to the masses. The body language of Camille and Johnny in the courtroom has already proved that the duo share a good rapport. 

Besides helping Johnny to win the defamation case against Amber Heard, reports suggest that Camille is supporting Johnny beyond the courtroom. She said that she is a big fan of Johnny's music. 

Outside the NBC studios in New York City, the 37 year old lawyer revealed that she would be meeting Johnny Depp again. Johnny is currently in the United Kingdom touring with English Rock musician Jeff Black.  

Camille Vasquez spoke about her famous client and the high profile case on Wednesday on NBC’s Today Show. Dressed in a blush coloured dress she posed for photographs and responded to questions that the press posed to her. 

Camille M Vasquez hails from Los Angeles, California, United States. She was born to Leonel Vasquez and Marilia Vasquez in 1984 and has a sister named Shari K Vasquez. She completed her education at Southwestern Law School and attended the University of Southern California. Camille started working with Brown Rudnick LLP as an associate attorney in 2018.

Speaking about her courtroom experience to ABC’s Good Morning America Vasquez said, “It’s been surreal and if I’m being honest a bit overwhelming.”

“But if I can be an inspiration to young women that want to go to law school and study and work hard then it was all worth it”, the lawyer expressed.
