Carole Ferrand Takes over as Capgemini Group CFO

Carole Ferrand took over as the Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Capgemini with effect from June 1, 2018. In her capacity as Group CFO, Carole becomes a member of the Group Executive Board and reports to Paul Hermelin, Chairman, and CEO. She replaced Aiman Ezzat who is the Chief Operating Officer alongside Thierry Delaporte since January 1, 2018.

Capgemini is an EUR 12.8 billion global leader in consulting, technology services and digital transformation with a presence in more than 40 countries and is at the forefront of innovation, which addresses the entire spectra of clients’ opportunities in the evolving world of cloud and digital platforms.

A graduate of the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (class of 1992), Carole started her career at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in 1992, where she was an auditor and later a financial advisor in the Transaction Services Division. Carole joined Capgemini in 2013. Prior to that she had held the position of Financial Director at Artémis Group, the holding company of the Pinault family (Kering, FNAC, vineyards), where she was also in charge of strategic and financial support for certain investments. Carole is already a director of FNAC and sat on Capgemini’s board of directors from May 2016 to May 28, 2018.  Earlier, in 2011, Carole had become Group Chief Financial Officer of the Europacorp Group. And prior to that, Carole had spent over a decade at Sony: in 2000, she joined Sony France, as Financial Director before becoming Secretary General in 2002.

Paul Hermelin, Chairman, and CEO, Capgemini Group, said that Carole had a strong track record in both operational and strategic financial matters. She now leads a world-class finance function at Capgemini and Capgemini is very much looking forward to the value that she will bring to the Group as a whole, in building further its leadership position in the market.

Carole herself is upbeat as well. "I am delighted to have joined the leadership team of a Group that I know well. I am looking forward to applying my broad experience in finance to play an instrumental role in supporting the Group’s focused development strategy across the globe,” she said.
