On August 23 at 6:03 pm, Chandrayaan 3, soft landed safely on the surface of the moon thereby creating history and making billions of people jubilant all over the world. 

India is the first country to land near the South Pole of the moon.

Many celebrities have come forward and shared their profound thoughts on the glorious event. 

One among them being Amitabh Bachchan. 

“For far too long when India was referred to, it was spoken of as a third world country and I hated it.Today I am proud to say India is first world in more ways than one.”

He added “"Bharat Mata ki jai" and "Vande Mataram" in the end of the post. 

Big B’s son Abhishek Bachchan congratulated ISRO. He wrote on X, “A massive congratulations to @isro for the triumphant touchdown of #Chandrayaan3. A moment to remember, an emotion beyond words!!”

Shah Rukh Khan Instagram 

King Khan wrote these lines from the famous movie ‘Yes Boss’, “Chaand Taare todh laoon….Saari Duniya par main chhaoon. Aaj india aur #ISRO chhaa gaya. Congratulations to all the scientists and engineers…the whole team which has made India so proud. Chandrayaan-3 has successfully soft-landed on the moon.” #Chandrayaan3

Kartik Aryan 

Karik Aryan shared a smiling picture of himself in front of the screenshot of the landing and PM Modi. He captioned it, “OUR INDIA IS NOW ON THE MOON 🇮🇳 #Chandrayaan3 HISTORIC MOMENT !! Thank you @isro.in (white heart emoji).”

Samantha Prabhu also shared a screenshot of the landing and wrote, “Yet again, we land on the Moon! Jai Hind (tricolour emoji) Congratulations @isro.in (white heart emoji) #Chandrayaan3.”

ISRO Chief S Somnath was seen partying the night away.

“Finally our prayers came true. After landing we did not come back, I was still sitting in the control room till the rover came out of the lander. Only after seeing that the rover came out of the lander and moved over the surface of the moon, I came back to my home late at night,” former Isro chairman K Sivan said.

Kangana Ranaut shared a screenshot with the words “Cycle Se Chand Tak” inscribed on it. 

Now rover Pragyan would study the lunar surface conditions and search for water. 

With the success of the lunar landing mission, India has joined the elite club of nations. 

After the immense success of Chandrayaan 3, ISRO Chief S Somnath said that its maiden Solar mission ‘Aditya’ is their next goal. Work is in progress and it will be ready for launch in September.
