Celine Dion Slams Body Shamers Who Criticized Her for Being Too Thin

Celine Dion has recently come under the scanner for looking too thin while sporting some of the latest haute couture. The singer has been captured by media draped in ensembles that latest fashion has to offer. This time though, Celine appears much leaner than before. The singer didn’t take the criticism lightly though and she had a few words to share with her body shamers in an interview.

In ‘The Dan Wootton’ interview, Celine Dion revealed that she was always fashion conscious but earlier the work environment was a bit conservative. Now, she feels more open to experimenting. She sees fashion as a platform to make her feel strong, fearless, feminine and attractive. It’s not always possible to please people all the time with your personal fashion choices. Some may be attracted to your fashion sense and some may dislike. "If I like it, I don't want to talk about it," she said. She added “If you like, I’ll be there. If you don’t, leave me alone.”

From the singer’s personal perspective, fashion is a form of expression and therefore we must give children and youngsters the opportunity to express themselves through fashion. Let them choose the color they want to sport be it black, white, yellow or green. It doesn’t matter what color they wear. This way we are permitting them to freely express themselves or else restricting them can become a block to their lives. They will not be able to communicate freely. Fashion including the color you choose to sport shouldn’t be stereotyped. “Because you are a boy you wear blue, because you are a girl you wear pink. What is that??” she questions.

There has also been a lot of speculation about Celine Dion dating a young dancer by the name of Pepe Muñoz, 34. They connected with each other through dancing. The singer explains that there are a lot of rumors about their relationship however she is just “best friends” with Pepe Muñoz. She defined him as a gentleman and a talented person. The speculations have been very stressful especially for him to the extent that he began stepping back. Celine was clearly cynical about the rumors and the inquisitiveness of the press. Now, however, the pair has worked on their friendship, evolved and they are still good friends. The singer joked when she said, “By the way when I say I am single. Please leave me alone. Thanks.”

The singer says that she is having the best time of her life as she’s traveling a lot, she’s trying out new things, she’s enjoying fashion, friends and she goes and enjoys shows. “It’s like I’m having the wind beneath my wings” the singer revealed on a very happy note.
