Chris Evans and Alba Baptista Welcome Their First Child, Baby Alma Grace
Chris Evans and Alba Baptista have welcomed their first child, a daughter named Alma Grace Baptista, in Massachusetts. The couple are enjoying the first few days privately as a family.
Chris Evans and his wife Alba Baptista have become parents! The couple welcomed their first child on Saturday, October 25, in Massachusetts, USA.
They have named their baby Alma Grace Baptista Evans, a source told PEOPLE.
“They’re enjoying their privacy and these special first few days as a family with their baby,” shared the insider.
The news comes as a sweet surprise to fans, as Evans and Baptista chose to keep their pregnancy completely private.
After dating for several years, the pair officially tied the knot in September 2023 in an intimate ceremony held in Cape Cod. The duo had made their relationship official on Instagram nine months before their wedding.
Evans, long known for his charm on and off the screen, has often spoken about his dream of settling down. “That’s absolutely something I want — a wife, kids, building a family,” he told PEOPLE in an earlier interview.
“When you read about most of the best artists — whether they're actors, painters, or writers — most of them admit it wasn’t the work they made that they were most proud of. It was about the relationships, the families they created, the love they found, the love they shared,” Evans added.
When asked by Access Hollywood if he would become a “Superhero Dad,” he replied, “Yeah, I hope so. Yeah, absolutely. The title of dad is an exciting one.”
Professionally, it’s been a busy year for the actor. Evans recently appeared in Honey Don’t (August 2025) and starred alongside Dakota Johnson and Pedro Pascal in Materialists (June 2025). He’s also set to appear in Marvel’s upcoming blockbuster, Avengers: Doomsday.
As for Baptista, the Borderline star continues to shine in her own right. Her upcoming projects include Mother Mary and Voltron.
Congratulations to the new parents, Chris and Alba, on welcoming baby Alma Grace!
