Clash of Communities After Being Told Dirty for Eating Non-Veg

India, one of the most diverse countries, has a population of different languages. Often, these languages have united people, but they have also disregarded the other communities, mainly because of cultural differences. Each of the Indian states remains constant with people from different parts of the country. Each of the cultures in India is quite different, which includes a varied way of eating and cooking. A clash between Gujaratis and Marathis was seen in a residential complex, which created a ruckus among the people living nearby.

The dispute arose because of the Gujarati Community claiming that the Marathis are dirty because they eat non-veg foods. The incident occurred near the Sambhav Darshan Co-operative Society located near Ghatkopar. The accused complained and hurled at the other as she was eating non-vegetarian food. The resident Ram Ringe was confronted by the Gujarati community, as "You Marathi people are dirty, you eat fish and meat."

After the altercation between the two communities, Ram had called up the Maharashtra Navanirman Sena, who then reached the location to speak to the communities of the housing society. MNS members claimed that if the Gujarati community tries to disrupt the peace and aims to disrespect the Marathi community, they will also have to face the consequences. MNS members have been very active, and they always take action regarding the dispute regarding the Marathi community and other social issues.

After a video went viral on social media, MNS leaders were heard saying that "He thinks Marathis are dirty. That means Maharashtra is also dirty. So, why did he come to a dirty place?" The man was further warned that if he tried to make such comments again, it would be challenging for him to leave society. Later on Thursday, a group of men again visited the cooperative, claiming that Ringe should be removed from the WhatsApp groups and that he should also be removed from the society.

The society chairman was also approached, and the MNS members informed him that if such cases persist in the future, MNS will respond in their own style. The incident took an even more tragic turn when the matter got into the streets, and police and media had to reach the location to control the overall situation.

The police have claimed that Ringe was continuously harassed by the residents for failing to win the society elections, and he was a part of the constant harassment. The police have called for a meeting in the society and will be investigating the matter properly and will take necessary actions against the people they find guilty.
