Creepy Unsolved Mysteries That Will Baffle You

There are plenty of bizarre and creepy stories around the world but only a few can chill your spine or perplex your brain. Here are a few creepy and scary unsolved mysteries that will make you ponder and think.

Ourang Medan

This incident took place in 1947 in the strait between Malaysia and Singapore. An American vessel happened to be passing through the strait when they received a distress call. The message they received was different and never before had they come across an S.O.S of this type. It said, "S.O.S from Ourang Medan. We float. All officers including the Captain dead in the chartroom and on the bridge. Probably, whole of crew dead. I die."

When the crew of a nearby ship found the Ourang Medan and boarded it, they found a ghastly sight in front of them. There they discovered a large number of corpses with their eyes and mouths wide open. As the crew was exploring a fire broke and they had to leave the ship. As they left, the Ourang Medan exploded and sank.

Some people believe that the ship was transporting dangerous chemical weapons which probably leaked causing the disaster. While others continue to believe this scary incident to be one of those seafaring legends.

The Blimp of 1942

This incident occurred during the summers of 1942. The residents of a small town outside San Francisco witnessed a strange broken looking blimp falling from the sky. The blimp stopped on a rooftop and then went into a group of powerlines causing a lot of damage in that area. People nearby ran to help the crew of the blimp but they were in for a surprise as they found none at the spot. Everything inside the blimp looked good and functional. Even the parachutes and lifeboats were intact. However, no one was inside. Where did the crew disappear is a still a big mystery. Two men Lieutenant Ernest Cody and Ensign Charles Adams were in it when the blimp left the naval station and they were never seen again.  

The Mysterious Footprints

This scary incident happened in Dover, England in 1855, February 9. The night before there was heavy snowfall in that place and everything was covered in snow. When the residents woke up they saw mysterious hoof marks all over South and East Devon. The hoof marks were about four inches long, three inches across, between eight and sixteen inches apart and mostly in a single file. These footprints were noticed in 30 different locations in Devon. The footprints were found in places where it was not possible to walk as they were found over houses, frozen rivers, haystacks, snow-covered roofs, high walls, and also inside drain pipes.

There are many theories as what it could have been but the mystery still survives.

The Disappearance of Brandon Swanson

This incident took place in 2008, Minnesota. Brandon Swanson was driving to a friend’s party and unfortunately he crashed into a ditch. As his car was not in good condition, he called up his father to come and pick him up.

However, his father was unable to find the location. So Brandon began describing the area he was in to make it easy for his dad to locate it. He started walking as he described the area. He told he saw a city up the road he was walking on. His father suddenly heard his son utter a cuss word and his phone went dead. Later, the police could locate the car near the ditch as Brandon had mentioned however, there was no sign of any city in that area. Brandon is still missing with no clue as to what could have happened on that fateful day.
