Cruise and Pitt Reunite After Two Decades and Steal the Spotlight at F1 Premiere in London

Cineworld Leicester Square lit up with star power as Tom Cruise made a surprise appearance at the European premiere of Brad Pitt’s upcoming film F1. The reunion of two Hollywood icons—Cruise and Pitt—on the red carpet after more than two decades sent netizens into a frenzy, with countless photos and videos of the pair making waves online.

Cruise, dressed in a sleek black suit, and Pitt, in a stylish dark green ensemble, posed for the paparazzi, sharing smiles, laughs, and even a warm hug that was captured in a video shared by the official F1 Instagram account. The caption read: “The moment Tom Cruise surprised us on the #F1TheMovie red carpet!”

Adding to the glitz of the evening were stars like Patrick Schwarzenegger, Tate McRae, and several others who brought their own shine to the red carpet.

Tom Cruise later shared a photo from the event on his Instagram, writing: “Great night at the movies with my friends!! You guys crushed it!!”

The premiere was also attended by F1 director Joseph Kosinski, producer Jerry Bruckheimer, and Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali, who posed alongside Cruise and Pitt in what F1 described on Instagram as “a special moment on the red carpet!”

In another post, the F1 account celebrated the meeting of two cinematic titans with the caption:

“Sonny Hayes 🤝 Maverick. The stars of Top Gun: Maverick and #F1TheMovie, both directed by Joseph Kosinski, meet at the European Premiere!”

This marks a rare public reunion for Cruise and Pitt, who last shared a red carpet in 2001 at the America: A Tribute to Heroes benefit concert. The two previously co-starred in the 1994 film Interview with the Vampire.

Directed by Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick, Oblivion), F1 tells the story of Sonny Hayes (played by Brad Pitt), a seasoned Formula One driver forced into retirement after a devastating accident. Still passionate about racing, Hayes continues competing in other motorsport disciplines while moonlighting as a taxi driver. His life takes a turn when Ruben, a team owner and old friend, asks him to come out of retirement to mentor a young racing prodigy, Joshua “Noah” Pearce (played by Damson Idris), for the fictional team Apex Grand Prix (APXGP).

The film is being produced in collaboration with FIA and aims to deliver a realistic, behind-the-scenes portrayal of the high-stakes world of Formula One.

With its compelling storyline, powerhouse cast, and high-octane racing action, F1 is already revving up major anticipation ahead of its release.
