David Asked and Katharine Said a Big “YES”

David Foster and Katharine McPhee announced the big news over FaceTime and Instagram as the world came to know about the lovebirds getting engaged. The place is none other than Italy where the couple promised love and togetherness and announced their engagement news. Since the last year, the couple had been in the limelight showing off their love for each other. It was when Katharine 'took a hand over David’s butt' publicly gave us the hint that the couple is sure to set the next celebrity couple goal. In March, the couple was spotted enjoying a date night at the Oscar Party. Soon after in May, the lovebirds walked the red carpet of Met Gala 2018. The news came to flash when Kat flaunted her love rock gifted to her by David with her friends. Just like every other regular girl, the musical queen couldn’t stop giggling away her joy as she was proposed in the most beautiful way. If you take a look over the screenshot you can relate and totally feel her blushed cheeks as you read how she is explaining the entire episode with a close friend over a quick chat.

How David met Kat

Every story starts with a once upon a time, and for them, the time was 2006 when fate brought these two lovebirds together. Like every year American Idol was being conducted where Kat came in as one of the contestants. Foster was the guest mentor at the show. That was just the beginning of the story. They say, some people are meant to be together and they proved that’s so true. It was until 2018 when the two started dating. Years later they returned back to the same stage to share it together while performing a Beatles cover. Kat once shared how Foster cared about her family and takes all the efforts to make them feel special. She said that when her sister was pregnant, it was Foster who took special care of her while they were enjoying a family outing of watching a tennis match.

The marriage bells are ringing

It’s the second time Kat is set to get married. Her first husband was Nick Cokas with whom she was married for eight years since 2008. David stands few steps ahead while this being his fifth marriage. His last wife was Yolanda Hadid and they had their divorce in Oct 2017. Guys, if you are smirking on the idea of the fifth marriage, let me shatter you with the romantic gesture of the 68-year-old music Mogul. Being half romantic as him would take up a lot of effort and trust me on this as he just chucked out the age myth for his lady love. As per Kat, he proposed her on the mountaintop of Anacapri. It was a dark night and the stars of the universe peeped to congratulate them. Now, isn’t that utterly and blatantly romantic?

The Moment

Kat narrated the story by sharing a post on Insta which was a text conversation screenshot. David didn’t forget the dash of wit while making such a beautiful proposal. Kat told that he gave the option of a “Yes” or pushing her straight down the cliff. Well, that was purely the David way of doing things straight in a way it should be done.

Sources say that Kat had been waiting for the moment for a while and was completely clueless about the fact that David had been planning for such a thing under the sheets. Kat recently expressed her desire to get married in an interview for a magazine where she clearly stated that this was “ideal situation” for her to get married and start a family with kids. Maybe she dropped a hint to Foster when she said something of that sort would be nice if that actually happens. Erin and Foster – the two angels of Foster are happy for their father. Both of them are all praises for Kat while Erin proudly says that her father is young-at-heart. Well, I can’t agree more with Erin on that part. Erin continues to say that her friends in the 20’s age bracket is always falling for her dad and would swoon with joy if they had a chance to date him. Erin in one of her photos expressed her excitement about her new stepmom.

Earlier, when Kat was interviewed various times and enquired about her relationship status and her alleged boyfriend David, she never gave in to the rumors. She expressed that she has “Zero Desire” to address such questions. She took it over smartly by saying that whatever she is doing in life is nothing wrong so people are free to think at their heart’s desire. Though both the partners never accepted the then alleged rumors, they always made it a point to express their love for each other by attending events together and sharing cute 'aww' moments that clearly said that love is what’s cooking in the private kitchen. Kat also confirmed that Foster holds a very special place in her life. She said that Foster is a great friend and she can’t imagine she shares such a beautiful bond with him on a personal level. The dating rumor of the couple began in September 2017, when Erin shared a photo, shot in Los Angeles.  Reportedly, after the engagement, the duo is celebrating the moment with their close friends and family on the Italian island of Capri. The couple is being quite active on the Instagram posting each other’s pictures and not forgetting to give the credit to their love.
