Deepika and Ranveer Finally Tie The Knot Today in a Super Private Affair

After dating for six years, the ‘D day’ for the handsome couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh has finally arrived. The couple is tying the knot today in a grand Konkani South Indian ceremony in the beautiful CastaDiva Resort and Spa that overlooks the enchanting Lake Como in Italy. King Khan, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Farah Khan were expected to arrive at Lake Como at 9 am for the wedding.

As per circulating reports, Deepika and Ranveer have invited close family and friends and the ‘Wedding of the year’ is a super private affair which means it would be tough to get a peek inside the wedding festivities. Nobody is allowed to take pictures and share it on social media. In fact, singer Harshdeep Kaur who had uploaded a picture on her Instagram was asked to take it down from her Instagram handle.

Tomorrow another North Indian style Anand Karaj ceremony will be held as per the Sikh tradition. The couple got engaged on Monday with Deepika adorning a white dress and Ranveer sported a black suit. On Tuesday, the fabulous couple hosted the grand Mehendi ceremony in the morning and Sangeet ceremony in the evening. As per a report in DNA, the male members of the family applied Mehendi in their palms. Singers Harshdeep Kaur and Shubha Mudgal sang songs during the Mehendi ceremony. According to Pinkvilla sources, at the Mehendi ceremony, Ranveer Singh apparently was on fire and was having the time of his life. He adorned a Silk Kurta Pyjama and danced to the tune of ‘Tune Maari Entriyaan’ and ‘Gallan Goodiyaan’.

 

 

He grooved to dhol beats and at one point of time he took the dhol and started playing it himself. He played while he made others dance to his tune. Ranveer then went up to his lady love and played the dhol for her while she kept blushing. The couple also danced together to a mix of retro and new songs played by the DJ. It’s believed that Deepika Padukone was very emotional during the Mehendi ceremony albeit she was taken care of by her to-be husband. For the Sangeet ceremony, Deepika and Ranveer wore Sabyasachi’s creations and color-coordinated their clothes. The families from both the parties danced with the couple and the atmosphere at Lake Como was super electric.

 

 

As per reports, Deepika and Ranveer have coerced guests to direct the gifts in form of donations to Deepika’s ‘Live Love Laugh’ foundation. A private dinner will be hosted by the couple on Thursday after which the married couple will fly out of Lake Como. Private receptions will be held in Bengaluru and Mumbai on November 21 and November 28 respectively.
