Deepika Padukone on the Cover of Vogue’s April Issue
Deepika Padukone who has recently unveiled her wax statue at Madame Tussauds in London has shared the cover photo of the Magazine on her Instagram.
Internationally famed fashion and lifestyle magazine ‘Vogue’ is featuring Deepika Padukone among others on its cover. In the April issue of the Magazine, Vogue is featuring 14 cover girls on its cover to celebrate 14 global superstars across 14 countries.
Deepika Padukone who has recently unveiled her wax statue at Madame Tussauds in London has shared the cover photo of the Magazine on her Instagram and declared, “Thrilled to share with you my cover for Vogue Magazine’s April issue celebrating this talented group of women from across the globe!”
Deepika is styled by Camilla Nickerson and she is featuring along with Hollywood superstar Scarlett Johansson and Korean star Doona Bae on the cover of the Magazine. The trio brings in major spring vibes in pastel-floral outfits, dewy make-up and pretty little flower-tiaras.
The Vogue US in its April issues describes Deepika Padukone as the star, “who is the highest-paid actress in India and the first woman ever to make it into the top five of the Forbes India Celebrity 100 list. (She also featured as part of Time's 100 most-influential-people list.) She is, at 33, a truly international star”.
Other international stars who are featuring on the Vogue’s April issue that is celebrating womanhood, includes French actress Lea Seydoux, The Crown's, Baby Driver actor, Australian actress Elizabeth Debicki, Mexican star Eiza Gonzalez, Alba Rohrwacher, Golshifteh Farahani, Adesua Etomi-Wellington, Bruna Marquezine, Liv Lisa Fries and Hera Hilmarsdottir.
Featuring in the cover page of magazines is not new to Deepika Padukone. The dimpled actress has been the cover girl for Vogue India several times and has also been covered on the issues of the magazines such as GQ India, Bazaar, Film fare, Femina, Maxim and Elle to name a few, as the list is endless. But on a magazine cover with an International readership, it is her first.
Deepika Padukone has made her international debut in Hollywood in the year 2017 with the film XXX: Return of Xander Cage, opposite Vin Diesel.
In Bollywood Deepika Padukone is best known for her roles in the films such as Bajirao Mastani, Ram Leela, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Piku and Padmaavat, which bombarded the box office. Her next project is Meghna Gulzar’s Chaapaak. In the film, Deepika plays the role of an acid attack survivor, which is based on the life of Laxmi Agarwal. The film also stars Vikrant Massey.
