Deepika Says She Is Working on Finding A Balance Between Her Career And Motherhood

Deepika Padukone recently opened up about motherhood and returning to work without guilt at the Forbes 30/50 Global Summit.

The actress has always been excited about this phase. Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh became parents to Dua Padukone Singh in September last year.

After Dua was born, she was seen in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again. However, she has not shot any movies since her daughter’s birth.

At this juncture in her life, the actress is focused on managing her time with her daughter Dua and returning to work without feeling guilty.

“I think where I'm at in my life right now is how do I manage my time as a mother, as a new mother, while getting back to work—and I’m sure there are some incredible women here who can give me some wisdom—but being able to manage my daughter’s life and getting back to work without feeling guilt is something I’m figuring out. I won’t say I am struggling with it, but I’m still figuring it out,” she said.

“Yes, I think motherhood itself has been so incredible that I’m sure, somewhere, if not consciously, then subconsciously, it will influence the kind of movies and roles I choose to do moving forward. Having said that, I do believe that I’ve been pretty aware and conscious even before motherhood,” she added.

From her modelling days to her successful career in Bollywood, Deepika Padukone has come a long way. In her long career, the actress has delivered some power-packed performances. Her openness in sharing her mental health struggles was commendable, making her a beacon of hope for those facing similar health issues.
