Drone Footage Shows Unidentified Tribes in Javary River Valley

A new group of tribes has been captured in the lens of a drone. Researches are explaining the threat and problems faced by them.

Drone Footage Shows Unidentified Tribes in Javary River Valley

A new video footage is the talk of the town as it reveals something that the world might not have known about. While the entire world population is rising with the striking benefits of technology and urbanization, there’s still the existence of a community who are farfetched different. The incredible presence of such a community was captured last week through a drone footage. The place of occurrence was near the border of Peru. There is a dense jungle in the Javary River Valley where a group of people was seen walking in a wide clearing. See the footage here:

As per reports, this area is not a place where regular human population resides and was considered as the habitat of wild animals and indigenous tribes. As per a report, there was a group of four to five people. One of these people were seen with some sort of pole in their hands. Some are predicting those as spears as these somewhat look like that. There was another report suggesting that there were 16 people in that area and were seen with bow and arrow.

Sources say that none of them were able to notice the drone that was capturing their images as reportedly the drones were flying above them.

Survival International is an NGO that is working on protecting the tribal people’s right. They claim themselves as the only government department in the world, working for protecting the existence of indigenous people and tribes.

Funai is another foundation of Brazil's agency for Indigenous affairs, who are claiming that they had captured the drone shots last year when they were on an expedition which had the aim of monitoring isolated communities. They have also said that they have released this footage now in the heath of protection of their study.

Funai was founded in 1910 by Candido Rondon. He is an explorer, Brazilian marshal who has been close in interaction with the Amazon tribes. His foundation has the goal of protecting the indigenous tribes of the Brazilian Amazon. Due to colonialism and diseases, many people in the tribe are facing difficult situations. The living conditions of these tribes are becoming worse due to the mining operation and logging.

As per sources, the members of Funai for the latest survey had traveled a long times for their mission. They had to travel 112 miles (180 kilometers) in a boat and then had to cover 75 miles (120 kilometers) by a truck and motorcycle as they trekked through the dense jungle. The military police and the tribal people of Kanamari helped in monitoring and to continue their research.

As reported by Funai, this area is the home of various tribes. Out of these only eight of them could be contacted and 11 are isolated tribes. In the country, this is the largest reported group of indigenous people.

The research delivered a report in which it was found out that near the tributaries of the Jutaí and Juruazinho rivers there was another native civilization. From the ends of the Brazilian government, there was an attempt to protect these tribes. 11 tribes had remained isolated and there is no trace of any contact. Even the historical records have been checked if these 11 tribes ever came out to contact. But there was no positive response. Six tribes of this same area have been reported who are interested in contacting the outside world. Two among them have decided to connect very recently as per the reports of Funai.

Other than the tribal people there were reports of other objects as well. The team captured photos of different creations made by the community. As per reports, there is a picture of a palm tree. This tree is seen in a hollowed form which is used to make canoes. An axe has also been found that is reportedly used for vegetation purposes. Other than this, there have been reports of a single thatched hut in the community.

The military police who had been a part of the group were also found doing some illegal activities going on in this area. As per the reports shared by them, illegal hunts were going on in this area. This is supposedly a great risk for the indigenous population as the researchers are apprehensive about the safety of the tribal people. They are still not sure if the tribal people will be able to combat these poachers. Two groups of suspects have been caught which are accused of illegal hunting in the area. These groups of hunters are reportedly farmers. The police have reported that these farmers were there with the attention of capturing the land that was allotted for the Mawtek tribal group. Taking their lands will pose a threat to the tribe leaving them rootless and that would question their existence.

Do they really need a development?

The Survival International reported that all around the world, there are more than 100 tribes. All of them are living in an isolated state. Previously there were endeavors of enforcing upon them the colonial rule. Forcefully, there was an attempt to contact them. But experts are now suggesting not to initiate any contact for any reason and they must be left at their own fate. Such developments when imposed upon indigenous tribes could have adverse effects. As per the sources, the new healthcare facilities of the developed nations are not adequate to treat the problems faced by the tribes. There have been reports from the NGO workers that the health experts are unable to detect the disease and said that they have never faced such cases of health before.

Last month, there was a news of the outbreak of measles in the Yanomami tribe. This was a semi-isolated tribe that lives in the border area of Brazil and Venezuela and is a part of the Amazon. As the epidemic spread some of the tribes were hospitalized but due to lack of vaccination and resistance the lives were in danger.

Some experts even say that the risk is posed on them due to the industrialized societies and letting them maintain the traditional ways will help them live peacefully. The tribes do not wish for urban interference and that is time and again proved. The single survivor in northwest Brazil was in close monitoring of Funai. The NGO wished to protect the person by supplying aids but he rejected all of them and wished to spend life the way he has been living since birth. Such disparity in interest is quite predictable as there have been reports of loggers murdering the tribal people in spite of the fact that they were under the legal protection.

Let wild be safe and beautiful in its own way

Experts believe that these people know about their surroundings and the people that are living in their neighborhood. They say that these tribes are intelligent enough to know that they would get help if they want to from the group of NGO workers. They are very much aware of their threats and help. In case, they need any assistance, they would seek for it through their own means. Until that time comes, the experts truly believe that there is no need to bother them and get them closer to development.
