Elon Musk’s Neuralink Soon to Reveal Technology to Link ‘Human Brain with Computers’

Tesla Founder and CEO Elon Musk is known for his innovation for the present generation and the generation ahead of time. He is known for his thinking much ahead of time. Now his startup Neuralink is working on a way to let human brains communicate directly with computers. 

This is something we at the moment may think that only exists in sci-fi movies. But when Elon Musk is on his way, then it will become a reality soon. 

The lesser-known company of Elon Musk, Neuralink is also set to reveal its progress in the development of the technology to connect computers to human brains on July 16 during an event in San Francisco. As per recent reports, Neuralink has also raised $39 million for the planned $51 million funding round for the project.

Neuralink announced this on twitter, “We’re having an event next Tuesday in San Francisco to share a bit about what we have been working on the last two years, and we’ve reserved a few seats for the Internet”. 

Neuralink was founded in the year 2016 and is working on a way to let human brains communicate directly with computers. It was initially started as a medical research company and has hired several high-profile neuroscientists from various universities across the world. 

Now, the company is focused on creating several devices that resemble tiny sewing machines and which can be implanted in the human brain to improve the memory or having more direct interfacing with the computing devices.

Elon Musk recently said, “Over time I think we will probably see a closer merger of biological intelligence and digital intelligence. It is mostly about the bandwidth, the speed of the connection between your brain and the digital version of yourself, particularly output”.

Elon Musk is of the opinion that now human beings will have to explore the cyborg-like technology as Artificial Intelligence (AI) continues to grow, as he views the arrival of artificial intelligence as an existential threat to the human race. 

Though the challenges are immense, when it comes to developing the technology and making it practical and affordable and also at the same time convincing people it is safe and desirable. But Elon Musk is determined.

Elon Musk has also responded to his fans on Twitter about his the progress of so-called “neural lace”, which is a sci-fi term for brain and computer interface.

In an era, when the whole world is dominated by tech giants, who have succeeded through computing hardware, software and services, Elon Musk stands out as an entrepreneur who has got an interest for the other parts of the physical world and things including electricity, rocks and gravity. 

Though he his busy with his existing business, which includes Tesla, which makes electric cars and trucks, massive electric power storage batteries and solar roofs. He is also the founder of SpaceX, which is launching satellites and has its own set for providing Internet service, presently working on rockets that will allow common people explore orbit, Mars and the other side of Earth. But his curious mind is always at work, working on the solutions for the generations to come.
