Fans in America Thank Danny Trejo for Saving a Baby’s Life in an Overturned Car
Witnessing the accident, Danny got his act together, just like a clip from a movie scene. He tried crawling in through a broken window, albeit he was unsuccessful.
A villain in Hollywood films- Danny Trejo is in the news today for being a hero in real life. Known for his roles in hit movies like the ‘Machete’, Desperado’ and ‘Con Air’, Danny Trejo help save a child’s life who was trapped in an overturned car in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
The actor was preparing to leave his 1965 Buick Riviera for repairs when he witnessed a Sedan pass by him and hit a Ford Explorer. Both the cars collided leading one car to turn upside down. A mother and her baby were trapped inside the overturned car.
Witnessing the accident, Danny got his act together, just like a clip from a movie scene. He tried crawling in through a broken window, albeit he was unsuccessful. He took the assistance of another bystander by the name of Monica Jackson and freed the baby from the car seat. According to Trejo, the child was lucky that he was wearing his car seat or else he could have lost his life in this freak accident.
While helping the kid, Trejo realized that the child was a kid with special needs and he was also panicking. Trejo distracted the small guy till the firefighters were able to release the grandmother from the car.
He kept the child engaged by telling him that they’d have to use ‘superpowers.’ The child then screamed ‘superpowers.’ He then told the kid to flex his muscles and he said ‘muscles.’ Trejo revealed, “I just kept the 'superpowers' game going and he flexed until we got away from there. I kept facing him away from what was going on.” The scariest part was that Trejo could smell gasoline in the overturned SUV while he was saving the child.
Looks like Trejo’s long experience in films worked in his favour. He used his presence of mind and handled the situation in a positive way thereby saving innocent lives. The occupants in the car including the child’s mother were taken to hospital thereafter.
“Things are so complicated right now that people have to understand that God put us on this Earth to help each other,” Trejo said. “If you look at Earth today, we're on the Titanic, looking for a good seat. We are here to serve, we are here to welcome, we are here to love. That's what we're supposed to be doing. I'm just thankful to God because He let me do that today. Everything good that has happened to me has happened as a direct result of helping someone else” said the hero in real life and ironically a villain in Hollywood flicks.
This kind act of Trejo has gone viral and fans are taking every opportunity to thank the brilliant actor.
