Fans Mistake Madonna for Maradona and #RIPMadonna Begins Trending Soon After

Soon after Argentinean Footballer Diego Armando Maradona passed away, Madonna’s name began trending on Twitter. Reason being that many viewers thought it was not Maradona but singer who Madonna who touched the gates of heaven. 

Even Australian fans created a buzz on social media for spreading the unfortunate but wrong news. 

Soon viewers realized the major slip however they continued posting humorous messages on the micro-blogging site to make light of the situation.

Meanwhile Maradona has been laid to rest in a private ceremony in Beunos Aires. There were handful of close relatives and friends for the ceremony. Huge crowds gathered at Casa Rosada in the hope of seeing his coffin.
