The couple got married in Javed Akhtar’s and Shabana Azmi’s splendid farmhouse ‘Sukoon’ in Khandala.
The wedding was attended by only a few close relatives and friends. Keeping each other’s religious background in mind, the couple decided to exchange personal vows rather than have a traditional ceremony associated with their respective culture.
Meiyang Chang, Gaurav Kapoor, Samir Kochar, Monica Dogra, Ritesh Sidwani, Rhea Chakraborty, and Hrithik Roshan were some of the celebs who attended the private wedding.
The couple made their entry to the wedding venue dancing to the famous track ‘Sooraj Ki Baahon Mein’ from the famous film ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.’
Photographs circulating in media show that Shibani made a gorgeous bride in a red and cream wedding ensemble. She wore a red veil as well as red high heels while the Farhan made a handsome groom in a black tuxedo.

Farhan’s father Javed Akhtar recited a poem for the couple on the auspicious occasion. The pre wedding festivities took place on Thursday and Friday.
Pinkvilla reported that after the intimate wedding ceremony in Khandala, a registered marriage will be followed on Monday, and looks like the newly married couple is all excited to take the next step.
